Application Process from the Philippines

The process follows the standard overseas application. Key steps include getting your TB test, taking the English language test, preparing PSA documents, and attending biometrics at VFS Global in Manila.

Apply through GOV.UK, pay fees and IHS, upload documents, and book your biometrics appointment.

English Language Requirement

Despite English being widely spoken in the Philippines, Filipino nationals are not exempt from the English language test for UK immigration purposes. You must take an approved test at A1 level (IELTS Life Skills or Trinity College GESE). Test centres operate in Manila and Cebu.

If you hold a degree taught in English from a recognised institution, you may be able to use this to satisfy the requirement through ENIC verification. See the English language guide.

TB Test

The Philippines is on the TB testing list. Get your certificate from an approved IOM clinic in the Philippines. The certificate is valid for 6 months.
