ILR Premium Walk-In Service: Next-Working-Day Decisions
What you need to know
- •Next-working-day ILR decisions are available through the super priority service.
- •You must book an appointment at a UKVCAS premium service centre.
- •The additional fee is approximately £800 on top of the standard ILR fee.
- •Bring all original documents to your appointment as there is no opportunity to submit later.
The premium walk-in service (also called the super priority service) lets you receive a next-working-day decision on your ILR application. You book an appointment at a UKVCAS premium service centre, attend with all your documents, provide biometrics, and receive a decision by the next working day. The service costs approximately £800 on top of the standard ILR fee.

How the Premium Walk-In Service Works
The premium walk-in service is the fastest way to get an ILR decision, with a next-working-day turnaround. Here is the process:
- Submit your application online: Complete your ILR application on the GOV.UK website and pay the standard application fee.
- Select the super priority service: During the application process, choose the super priority option and pay the additional fee.
- Book your appointment: Book a UKVCAS appointment at a premium service centre. Not all centres offer the super priority service, so check availability carefully.
- Attend your appointment: Bring all original documents, provide biometrics (fingerprints and photograph), and submit your supporting evidence.
- Receive your decision: The Home Office aims to make a decision by the next working day. You will typically receive confirmation by email.
Premium Service Centre Locations
Premium service centres are operated by UKVCAS (Sopra Steria) on behalf of the Home Office. Locations include:
- London (multiple locations)
- Birmingham
- Manchester
- Glasgow
- Cardiff
- Belfast
Availability changes regularly, and not all centres offer the super priority (next-working-day) service at all times. Check the UKVCAS website for current availability when booking.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Unlike a postal application where you can send documents separately, the walk-in service requires you to have everything ready on the day. See our ILR documents checklist for the full list. Key items include:
- Your current passport and all previous passports covering the qualifying period
- Your BRP (Biometric Residence Permit)
- Life in the UK test pass certificate
- English language test certificate
- Employment evidence (payslips, employer letter, P60s)
- Bank statements
- Any other route-specific documents
Bring originals of everything. The caseworker will review your documents at the appointment. Missing a key document could result in a refusal.

Cost Comparison
The premium walk-in service is significantly more expensive than other options. For a detailed comparison, see our priority vs super priority guide and our ILR cost breakdown.
The three service levels are:
- Standard: No additional fee beyond the ILR application fee. Processing takes up to 6 months.
- Priority: An additional fee for a faster decision, typically within 5 working days.
- Super priority (walk-in): The highest additional fee for a next-working-day decision.
Is the Walk-In Service Worth It?
The premium walk-in service is worth considering if:
- You need to travel urgently and cannot wait for your BRP to be processed
- You have a time-sensitive employment or housing situation
- The uncertainty of waiting months for a decision is causing significant stress
- You are confident your application is strong and want to avoid the risk of a lengthy wait
If cost is a concern and you do not have an urgent deadline, the standard service or priority service may be more appropriate. See our 2026 processing times guide for current standard waiting times.
What If Your Application Is Refused
If your ILR application is refused at a walk-in appointment, you will know immediately. This can be distressing, but you have options:
- Administrative review: You can request an administrative review if you believe the decision was wrong.
- Section 3C leave: If you applied while your previous leave was still valid, your leave continues under section 3C while you pursue a review or make a fresh application.
- Reapply: You can submit a new application addressing the reasons for refusal. See our ILR refusal guide.
Tips for a Successful Walk-In Appointment
To give yourself the best chance of a positive outcome:
- Organise your documents clearly with a cover sheet listing everything
- Arrive early for your appointment
- Bring copies of everything as well as originals
- If you are unsure about any aspect of your application, consider using an immigration solicitor
- Make sure your application form is completed accurately before the appointment
This guide is general information, not immigration advice. Immigration rules change frequently. For advice on your specific situation, consult an OISC-registered adviser or immigration solicitor. Always check GOV.UK for the latest rules.
